It has been awhile since our last blog. Don't think that is because we don't want to keep in touch with you all, but sometimes it just doesn't feel like there is much new to say (or much new that we are ready to talk about!). After Christmas we always hunker down to clean and sharpen all the machines, work on new projects, and wait out the winter. This winter it feels like we've been in a routine of; endure very cold weather, shovel snow, watch shovelled snow piles suddenly melt away to create a giant ice parking lot, then plunge back into -30 degree temperatures. At least the days are getting longer now and we are all eagerly anticipating getting into our greenhouses to start plants for spring and all the fun stuff that fills the summer months. With that in mind there are a couple of things we'd like to bring to your attention.
First, for those of you signed up for our 2018 Natural Dye Club, get ready - you'll be hearing from us within the next two weeks. This year's project is going to be both delicious and beautiful....can't wait! If you purchased a dye club subscription but haven't registered yet, please do so now - we don't want you to miss out on the fun.
Second, we've set our 2018 spring and summer Open Saturday dates and will once again be offering guided tours (and on every Friday afternoon, May through September). Normally we wouldn't send out an announcement until later in the spring, but the tours have already started to fill up for May and June and we want to give everyone a fair kick at the can. Please feel free to get in touch to make a reservation if you have a date you would like to visit us.
Lastly, keep your eyes and ears peeled - we've been working on some new naturally dyed wools with Megan Samms Live Textiles, and we are nearly ready to show you the final results...
So, that's all for now folks. Enjoy the snow the best you know how - soon it will be spring!
