All of our pure wool and custom wool socks are spun from 100% pure new wool and exotic fibre blends sourced directly from farmers in Canada. Canadian wool is distinct from other types of wool due to the extreme temperatures in our prairie climate. This results in wool that is fluffier, bulkier and often of higher quality than other wools.

The best socks around! Custom Woolen Mills' Prairie Wool socks are perfect for working outdoors, playing sports, or just wearing around the house.
From our coloured 100% wool socks to our soft white mohair pairs, we have a variety of socks to keep your toes warm and cozy all day long.
When choosing socks, the Original Wool Socks are the warmest, the White Wool Mohair Socks are the softest, and the Hard Workin' Wool/Nylon Socks are the most durable.
Our sock sizes correspond to men's shoe sizes or are slightly smaller. If you like your socks loose, you may want to pick the next size up. Most men tend to fit into sizes 10-12 or 13-15. Most women tend to fit into sizes 4-6 or 7-9. If your foot size is right on the upper border of a size range, we would recommend getting the next size up. This makes them a bit more forgiving when it comes to washing.
To keep your Custom Woolen Mills socks in tip-top condition, machine wash them gently and hang to dry to prevent shrinkage.
Proper fitting shoes have a huge impact on how your socks will wear. If you find you get holes in your socks quickly, you may want to assess how your shoes fit. In the meantime, we have a handy tutorial on how to darn socks.
