If you follow author Sylvia Olsen and her family's company Salish Fusion Knitwear, then you may have already heard rumour of Prairie Sea Fusion Yarn as she tells the ever-evolving story of the Coast Salish Sweater.
Like all Custom Woolen Mills yarn, it is made from 100% Canadian wool; sourced, hand-sorted, washed, carded, spun, and coned right here on the Prairie.
It is a heavy, soft spun yarn. Six strands twisted, not plied. It beckons to the traditional hand-spun yarns of the Coast Salish woolworkers and the Salish Sea.
It is a meeting of Western Canadian fibre heritage, a union of shared value for fibre artistry, a modern Fusion.
