Lots of folks visit us as part of their cross-country summer road trips. If that is something you are planning to do, then you may want to know about Midway Centennial Park.
Located just a couple of kilometres from the Mill, Midway Centennial Park is a quiet little camp ground and fishing spot maintained by community volunteers. With some fire rings, picnic tables, and a few out-houses the amenities are basic, but the camping is only $15.00 per night (a basic fee to cover waste removal and a little bit of grass mowing), the pond is stocked for fishing, and the scenery is beautiful. It's a great place to set up camp for an evening and it can turn a trip to the mill into a leisurely stop on the itinerary.
